Unbankable SUREHOST BONUS coupons

I keep earning these super host coupons and because they can't be banked i can't use them.

This seems to me to be just another "Happy Talk" supposed benefit of being a super host.

If AB&B really wants to "serve" the Superhost community they should allow us to save these for a real trip somewhere.

I'm guessing these are an accounting strategy that serves AB&B and the percentage actually used is relatively small.

A gift you can't use or keep is bogus and i'd love to see AB&B actually survey superhosts regarding banking these if they are sincere in want to support us.

Otherwise thanks for the marketing malarkey treating us like tools.

@Patrick2364  I have also had many Superhost bonuses go to waste as I was not in a position to use them. You are correct that it's a feel-good thing that costs them nothing.

One thing you can do so they don't go  to waste is to find another host who also has one they won't be able to use, and "book" each other's places for empty dates, even though you don't actually go stay there. That way you both end up with some $.

Or you could use it to just get away to somewhere close by for a  night, but as a little break from your own environment. I almost did that this year, but never got it together.

To be fair, there are other companies which offer credits or gifts which do have an expiry date, as well.

Of course it would be great to be able to bank them, but that's not going to happen, because Superhost isn't really an acknowledgement of superior hosting, it's a behavior modification tactic to keep hosts stressed out, accepting all guests and kowtowing to the entitlement and demands of some of them.

The $100 coupon for being a Superhost is the main reason I try to keep the status every quarter. I use it every year, traveling no more than 1 hour from my home, just to get away for a night or two. Being that I only have a few days off per year, the coupon is all I need to force myself to do it. And I learn a lot from other hosts in the process.
