It happens to all of us once in awhile - we go down a YouTube rabbit hole 🙂
My favorites, with an example of each, are dance (https://youtu.be/UGsfzsWkybc), the Olympics (https://youtu.be/0B0tSnQKzwo), and VEEP (https://youtu.be/AmHWFmnioBM). I could watch "Amy Brookheimer Is A Terrible Person" every week and never get tired of it.
What are some of yours?
@Anna9170 OH MY LORD. I had never seen that! That finale was one of the most stirring things I've ever seen on the ice. Amazing, Anna!
A little treat to have with your lunch from one of my other rabbit holes - this is a lesser-known Fred Astaire/Rita Hayworth number, short but charming. She was my favorite partner for him. https://youtu.be/Wh8-Z2bcyTM
@Anna9170 Before I run off and watch more Alex and some Plushenko, I have to tell you - it's amazing - like your son, my oldest daughter is an old film fanatic. She just finished her masters in film and her professors adored her knowledge of classic Hollywood. If you really want a treat, watch a pre-code film like "Trouble in Paradise." Incredibly fresh and sexy.
My late best friend, Mary Cleere Haran, was a cabaret singer in New York, and Sidney Lumet had a huge crush on her. She was always running off to have a meeting with a heartsick Sidney.
Okay, now for skating - I'm so so so excited about the steps! (Like you, I'm always like, now you're done with your big jumps, let's get to the real soul of it all).
😘
@Anna9170 Oh my, I 100% get Plushenko now. His elegance is astonishing. He evoked all of classic American film in a few movements, I couldn't get over it! Yes, I see. Thank you.
@Ann72 OMG, your eldest daughter a film maniac? 😎 And her education is also related to cinematography? 🤓
Here should play Indian music about the sisters who were separated in childhood and found each other many years later...🤣

@Anna9170 LMAO, yes!!
But my mind is blown by Indian disco and Bollywood films being hugely popular in Russia in the 80s. Somehow I think that cultural moment is amazing! And wow, thank you for the introduction to Suresh Wadkar. I thought that performance was amazing!
All I have for you in return is more Fred and Rita! https://youtu.be/zxsVyKo0nNM
Goodnight darling!!
Darling, good morning! ☕
@Anna9170 Patrick Swayze! Can't actually get enough of him. 🔥
Still can't get over that cultural marriage! Have not watched enough Bollywood but the naivety I can see would be enormously comforting, especially at times like these.
@Ann72
For your dinner - Spanish-Russian hello. preferably with a glass of Rioja. 🍷))

@Anna9170 That 19-year-old Plushenko! As soon as I saw it was "Carmen," I knew there'd be wonderful FOOTWORK. It was great!
My computer's space bar is dying so I can't write more except thank you and big hug 😘
@Ann72 I can't edit my post anymore, but this is another perfect old school performance, even in a very very different field. Of course it is not Alex 😂, hell, but the School and the level of rhythmic gymnastics are clear. 😎

@Anna9170 This was a surprise, but an excellent one. Another top athlete/artist, at the top of her game.
