Why does Airbnb send out promotional coupon rates, but it's not accepted by the host?

I selected the Airbnb platform because of the coupons; I needed someone to contact me for I had a 30% discount for new customers and no minimum order.

I never heared about those promotional coupons.

Useally coupons are used when making a booking and are used to make (part of) the payment.

Which is a matter between the booker and Airbnb at time of payment, the host is not involved in this.
