Will Airbnb cover fines imposed on host due to guest partying in the apartment?

We have strict rules around ‘no parties allowed’ because our building management has strict rules on that too.
However, our recent guest has gone against the rules and held parties at our place. We found this out through our building manager and we will be coping a heavy fine because building securities were called out by our neighbours.
Our guest obviously denied it and said he only had loud music on.
The questions I have are: 

Are we allowed to pass on these fines to the guest?

If guest refuses to pay, will Airbnb pay us?

@TheMelbourneHome0  You could ask the guest to pay the fines, but do you really think they re going to agree? Did you charge a security deposit? Maybe Airbnb  would take it from the security deposit- you could try. 

But if that doesn't work, no, Airbnb isn't going to pay your fines. You are expected to control what is going on at your listing, that's your responsibility.

@Sarah977  you know full well that Airbnb does not actually charge the so-called "security deposit," so that is a lost cause.

But it is quite true that Airbnb does not accept liability for fines that result from losing control of your property. You can request payment from the guest via the Resolutions tool, but if the guest refuses to pay, you're at a dead end. The Host Guarantee has no provisions for losses unrelated to physical damage.

Assuming that Airbnb rentals are actually allowed in your building, you might find it useful to approach the neighbors with an apology and your contact details in hopes that in the future they contact you directly instead of resorting to getting security involved.

@Anonymous  Well, of course I know that Airbnb doesn't really charge a security deposit. That's why I said "do you really think your guest is going to agree to pay?" But it's the first place to start, according to Airbnb protocol. I have no illusions that @TheMelbourneHome0  would have any success getting it paid out, though, and agree that it would be a waste of time.

@TheMelbourneHome0  what systems do you have in place to minimise the risk of guests partying or making unreasonable noise upsetting your neighbours?

Do you have CCTV or similar to ensure only those who have booked use your place?

Do you have house rules that complaints regarding noise from building management will result in guests being asked to leave.

Do you have it in your house rules that fines for noise will be passed on your guests. Hopefully you have so you can then request through Airbnb that they pay the fines.

Do you find it acceptable that your guest was 'only playing loud music'

This is a problem that will go round and around.

If it says 'no parties' in your house rules and 1)Neighbours Complained. 2)Security was called 3)You were fined. Your guest is at fault.

The only recourse you will have will be to make a direct legal claim against your guest. Hopefully, you have their contact details.
