the bookings were disappointing and there were 2 cancellations. I have decided to rent my apartment out for 1 year and see how the market goes for next season.

If you don't want to list on Airbnb you can just cancel or suspend your listing (as long as you don't have any up coming bookings). (see Airbnb Help for how to do this).
