cancellation policy for changed reservation

cancellation policy for changed reservation

I have a guest that booked peak time over Christmas, the day of her checkin she requested a change for a March 17th booking claiming it was due to covid.  i approved, losing revenue for the most requested week in our year, now she is requesting another change to the holiday week in june.  I've lost 2 peak weeks of revenue due to her changing plans and do not want to accept her change but want to know what the refund implications will be...based on her canceling her day of December booking or her canceling now for March?

Obviously, I have little trust that AirBnB will support a host in this circumstance or any for that matter since it is impossible to get any help from AirBnb.  But wanted to know if anyone had insight on how refunds are processed with changed reservations?  based on the initial booking last minute or the future changed dates?

@Teresa1529 The cancellation/refund policy that would apply here would be based on the revised dates, rather the original dates. But it sounds like your guest has already figured out how to work the Covid loophole to get around your cancellation policy, so your likeliest revenue from this booking is $0.
