My first guest checked out two days ago and has just messaged asking about a deposit that airbnb are holding, do I have to do something after checkout so that airbnb release the deposit back to the guest?
@Donna1225 you don't need to do anything. I would message the guest explaining that you have no knowledge of any deposit and that they need to deal with Airbnb to get it back. It may be that Airbnb hold it until the end of the 14 day period where hosts can claim for damage but I don't know.
Sadly the guest may leave you a poor review for what is an Airbnb issue.

Hi thank you for your reply! I will keep my fingers crossed that I don't get a poor review , especially as this was my first guest and the rest of the feedback they gave me was good.
