@Lisa75 they have taken deposits away ever since you’re a cover was introduced. You’re not missing anything, it was a farce or as @Anonymous once put it, a placebo. For your purposes you’ll follow the same process if you needed to claim damages as you did it before. Your best course of action is to prevent damages and I believe getting IDs from guests goes along way in doing so

i think i'll do that!  i stayed in a vrbo in new orleans and many places wanted pic of your drivers license.  that would help.  so awful that airbnb doesn't explain - they just upset you.
