👋 Hello, fellow hosts!
For those who may also be wondering how to use their bonus coupon, here’s what I did when booking a trip for August this year (2024). Hope it helps 🙂
A note: Your Superhost bonus isn't automatically added to your account. You have to redeem it.
I used the Superhost bonus coupon by following the link in the email I received from Airbnb about my Superhost status. You can either enter the code during the booking payment process or, like me, redeem the coupon to have it added to my payments & payouts page.
When you book, look for link ‘manage your coupon’ and choose the coupon. Voila, you’re done!
I screen-grabbed the process for those who like things visual (like me 😊) below:
1. Superhost email - click link to see your coupon
Email received - click link 'Check out your bonus'
2. Redeem coupon
Copy the code (though if you chose redeem your coupon, it should be auto added to your account)
3. Go to your account > payments & payouts -- look for section 'Coupons' (should be at bottom of page) Your redeemed coupon should now have been added to it because you have redeemed it
Go to your 'Account' drop down 'Payments & payouts'. Scroll to bottom, to section 'Coupons''
4. When it's time to pay for reservation, scroll to 'manage coupons'
When you make booking, you should see 'Manage coupons' link
5. Apply the coupon by choosing it
You can add the coupon by typing in code or if you have redeemed, just choose to add that coupon
6. Check to confirm it's applied. Amount for your reservation should refresh to new amount with coupon discount.
The amount will refresh and your coupon will have been applied.
I hope this helps!
thanks for this. I will share with my FB community.
@Frances52,
Thanks for sharing. It should also be noted that the SuperHost bonus is good for one use. If the full balance isn't used on a stay or experience, there isn't any left over balance available to use on another purchase. If the reservation is changed or cancelled, the coupon isn't refunded. If the coupon expires, it will not be reactivated.
@Frances52 @Karen1100 @Debra300 I wonder if I could also join in here.
For the last 3 years we have used our Superhost coupon to book travel to Ukraine. We have 'not' been to Lviv, Kyiv and Kharkiv for short breaks. The pleasure this gives to hosts living in fear of their lives more than outweighs any pleasure our bank account would get if we took a small discount against a real booking. Try it and you will see......
Thank you for sharing this. Would you believe I've had several coupons expire in the past? Let me also reshare this in our Facebook community. It's very helpful.
PamG,
RE: Expired SUPERHOST COUPONS.
Are we the only people on AirBnB that thinks a 1 year expiration on a Superhost 'gift' ( actually it's really a sweet Thank You from AirBNB) is... a little... backwards / counter intuitive / counter productive. Hate to be 'Debbie Downer' but to me this great reward program falls flat since we don't seem to travel enough.
My wife and I have had more ( actually TWICE as many ) coupons expire than we have used. I don't even like thinking about this gift/reward /coupon system because it gives me a negative feeling. If we could send or give them to another host or even maybe treat an especially nice guest with a $100 off - well - NOW YER TALKING. Thanks for listening. We still Love you Brian / AirBNB )
@Lois-And-Bill0 You absolutely can send/gift them to another host. You just book a stay with said host and then don't turn up (having warned them of course). Our first 2 vouchers expired which is why the last three have booked trips to Ukraine.
I love this idea, especially if a host cannot use their coupon for travel it can be used to help others just a little.
This is a very nice idea. I have previously used my coupons to support vulnerable hosts who are in my regional area.
Hello @Frances52, thank you so much for this wonderful guide. It has sparked a great conversation among our hosts so far. 😊
