2019: Month of Celebration

Hiya everyone!

Since December 2017, we have held annual Month of Celebrations here in the Community Center, throughout the month of December.

For those of you who haven't heard of this before, here is a quick recap:

For each day of December, a different community member posts a new topic about something positive! This can be a nice story, personal experience, tips... whatever gives you a smile! Each time, we have shared some great conversations and laughs.

Last year we had some wonderful topics including @Nutth0 with A host who enriches passion by hosting an Experience and a festive look from @Helen427 with Christmas - Reflections, Reminiscing, Remembrance . So the range of things huge. You can take a look at last years' here, to get the creative juices flowing.

We have had a few of you CC'ers ask if we are running it again this year and we have decided: YES! However, as you can imagine, we are time poor so we need YOUR HELP!

If you would like to get involved, please reply to this thread letting us know which day(s) you would like to post your topic.

I hope you are all enjoy this dose of positivity whether you get involved or just enjoy reading 😄

Hey @Giuliana142 your kittens Romeo & Juliet are gorgeous, nice to see another who likes their animals and features them in one's listing.

You must like a little Poetry to, do you?

Someone wrote an article here in New Zealand recently wondering who had thought to name some street names Romeo & Juliet.

I must try see if I can source the background to it in Papers Past New Zealand historic newspapers/ Government archives.

I'll be on the alert to your poetry in your contribution 🙂

Hi Helen, I simply fell in love recently with an 8 week old kitten. First words out of my mouth were “Oh my Romeo!” Then I saw his little sister. They started playing together, and I said “Ok, that’s it, I’m taking both.” They are truly inseparable. It was easy to name them. December 3rd they will be 4 weeks old. So I had them for 2 months now. I will share a photo of them on my December 4th community post. 

Yes I do like poetry, for some reason I didn’t fancy Shakespeare in high school, it must’ve been  my teenage years. Can you imagine if someone really posted something as a poem about their ABB experiences? Kinda like you did, it was fun to read.

It's very easy to fall in love with animals, they have a personality of there own.

I'm sooo looking forward to December 4.

Will you be making them a treat?

There's a very talented lady named @Inna22 who is great with her words in here.

Use keywords like Dr Suess in the search box and some of her contributions should pop up.

I hope she adds to someone's topic with her quick wit for the Month of Celebration...lol @Inna22

Thanks for the hint Helen, I had no clue. I’m very new at hosting and the Community. I will give it a try and see how it goes. I’m always looking forward to learn something new.

My two kittens, Romeo and Juliet are also part of Airbnb since we all live together and guests enjoy them dearly. They’re very playful. They definitely contribute to an enjoyable stay.

@Giuliana142   I *think* we post our articles in the Hosting board here on the Community Centre with the title then message @Stephanie  (mentioned earlier in the thread).

I'm new to it as well.

Hopefully a veteran will come along soon and tell us the procedure.
