I noticed recently that Airbnb has been working with the city of Toronto (Canada) to develop regulations that support Airbnb rentals.  Is anything being done with Vancouver City?

There is noise at town council level in Squamish, British Columbia to ban Airbnb... but we still have time to save it.

I am working with a suportive council member... but I need DATA. I am deeply disappointed that Airbnb won't offer any support. At there should be generic background research on the benefits of Airbnb and how to regulate to maximize benefits while alleviating problems which do exist.

I also wanted to send a survey to my fellow hosts to raise awareness and gather data, but that was also a non-starter. 

Too big to care?

Does anyone know of such research or how to work around Airbnb's limitations so I can gather the information myself?
