After clicking on multiple links within airbnb website, (in order to ask a question about the airbnb for business benefits), and after having been directed to multiple pages with generic info, I was FINALLY allowed to input my question and hit a "send" button to airbnb.
I received a very prompt reply from Will, whom I believe is a airbnb host and volunteer who answers online questions. Will did answer my question about airbnb for business (and I now am not sure if it is really worth providing my business email address to be in airbnb for business) But I feel like there is an ongoing issue with how anyone can communicate with paid airbnb staff (are there paid airbnb staff?) - Below my response to Will's email, March 20, 2017:
Hi Will - thank you for our yprompt message. I have found it incredibly frustrating to communicate with airbnb - no phone # on website, no visible email address under their tabs or topics, etc. I also have to say that as a business traveler, there are hotel reservation sites that do give anywhere from a 10 to 16 percent benefit toward future bookings- It seems like there is not really that good of a reason to share a business email address with airbnb. I have enjoyed my airbnb stays but am increasingly challenged by the company's labryrinthine website and inability to allow its customers to have easy access to communicate with its staff. We airbnb travelers are paying for the interface with airbnb - and I have to say that aside from contact with volunteer "communication gatekeepers" the airbnb interface has been disappointing. I would appreciate if you would pass my comments on to whomever is involved with customer relations at airbnb. I hold out hope that airbnb can improve its "contact us" options!
