Damages by guest

Our last guest cracked the glass in one of the sliding glass doors.  They had a late check out, we did not notice the damage until morning, and the guest did not admit to the damage.  We filed a report 24 hours ago and have no response.  We cleaned the door just before check in and there was no crack.
