Hi guys,

Does anyone know the best way to handle this situation....

We have a guy staying with us for 30 days while he looks for a flat in London as a more permanent fixture. He has been forced into a situation with his new landlord where he needs to move in with 6 days left on his 30 day arrangement with us. I've said i'm happy to help so he doesn't dupicate payment. The best scenario as I see it is to open up the days in case anyone was to book them, if they get booked, refund the difference to the current guest. If not then we keep his money. Does anyone know the best way to do this. Really nice guy and want to help out as much as we can.

He needs to alter his reservation with you and you approve it. The long term cancellation policy will come into effect and once it does you are free, if you wish, to refund him money. He won't get Airbnb fees refunded however.

shouls also have said it will open up your calendar so you have the chance to resell those nights too. So the quicker he does this the better for you.
