Host Protection regarding city Administration

Hello

I am hosting airbnb in Barcelona.

The city has been recently very strict with people who do Airbnb without approval.

Let's no be hipocrit, the half of the offer are not "legal on the website" but Airbnb accept to post-it without any control.

I understand that we are all responsible of our acts and must be aware of the local laws, but how Airbnb is politically committed regarding these topics in a such a touristic city like Barcelona.

We are facing fines of 30,000€ for renting one tine our apartments...

How Airbnb tries to protect its host ?
