@Ermelinda1- No, you cannot get penalized for refusing a reservation change. You can be penalized if you cancel a reservation. Neither of these two things relates to your cancellation policy. Cancellation policy is directly related to the terms and conditions of a reservation as they relate to the guest. If a guest cancels, this is when cancellation policies come into play.

You have, however, learned a valuable lesson. Do not give too much of yourself, your time, or your resources to a guest without willing to go without payment for those things. Unless you tell a guest upfront, that rides are not free, extra food is not free, that giving them cash or other extras are not "on the house", some guests will continue to exploit you for everything you are willing to give. You have to set boundaries and stick to them. Don't be afraid to say "no" and offer other options for them - like a taxi, or where the closest restaurant is located. NEVER feel like the guest's problems when traveling are your problems unless they relate to you directly. He doesn't have any cash.... well that's on him and his poor planning, not for you to resolve for him.
He does not have any information about your bank account unless you told him yourself. Airbnb does not provide this information to guests.
