Luggage Racks?

Hello Hosts!

We are brand new hosts and we seem to have encountered a potential problem:

Guests putting luggage up on the bed to pack and/or unpack?

The problem is with wheels that can really make a mess and stain sheets, comforters, etc.

Do you guys use and recommend luggage racks as a solution to the problem?

Thank You!

I looked up a store near me and i hope to find the racks there.

Great suggestion!

Hello @Tony159,

I personally do not have luggage racks, but I have seen this problem on this forum several times, and they are often recommended.  Seems to solve the problem in an inexpensive way, so why not?

🙂

Thank you for your reply.

We are trying to find them at a decent price now.

You might want to see if there is a hotel liquidation store in your area.  I found a basic used (but still in great shape) luggage rack at the one near me for $15 - way cheaper than the ones I found online and much better quality.

Thanks, Kati.

Hotels add a throw at the bottom of the bed b/c most people put luggage on bed in absence of a luggage rack. The throw looks nice but it also adds a nice "touch" while protecting your bedding.

I have luggage racks also thinking it could help prevent against bedbugs spreading and keep luggage off the beds. Maybe that is not true, IDK.... but anything to keep bedbugs away seems like a sensible investment too.
