Month Long Reservation

I got a reservation that is one month long, and the person is a first time Airbnb user.  Also, the person doesn't have a lot of information on their profile.  How do I make sure this is not a scam?

It's a bit late now. You should have set up tighter parameters for your listing before going live.

1 - Turn off Instant Book and get used to having a conversation to vet gusts before accepting reservations.

2 - Look  for booking requirements and check that you require ID-verification (full guest verification) for bookings.

3 - you have no maximum length of booking. This might get you in hot water with tenant rights.

Besides saddling you with a guest you might not want to host that long. A difficult guest for 4 days is a trial, but then you're free of them. A whole month might be hell...

Don't cancel the reservation. Do message your guest asking more information and purpose of their stay since, after all they will be staying in your home. This person may be quite alright, however it's good to know that it's usually first-timer hosts who are targeted with long-term reservations.

If they don't react or seem dodgy, you should call Airbnb and say you are not comfortable with the guest and ask to have guest relocated. Googling contact Airbnb and your area gets you the no. or searching in the box at top of this box.
