Paying back monay for unused days

Hello!

I have a question regarding paying back monay to my guest. He made a reservation for a full month (to get a long term discount, I suppose). Five days before booking ends he decided to leave and asks me to pay back monay for the days he isn’t using. Do I have to?

It sounds unfair because my apartment still stays booked for those days and I have no option to get other guests.

no, long term bookings are non refundable regardless how long he stayed.

If you refund him

outs airbnb your days will remain blocked and you will lose revenue for those days.

if you refuse to refund him be prepared for a vindictive 1* rating

either way you will not win with this guest
