Payments from hosting and renter side

Hello

I am new to hosting and I just accepted a reservation.  However, I did not put in my payment method until after I accepted the reservation request.

A few questions regarding this:

Is this a problem? 

Will I be notified when AirBnB asks them for payment of the rental?  

And will I also be notified when they make their payment?  

And will I then be notified when the payment gets deposited into my account?

What it looks like is that I don't receive payment until 24 hours after they start their stay, but then why is it that when I book a rental, my credit card gets charged right away?  I booked a rental in Bali for a few months out but it has already been charged to my credit card.
