Refunding cleaning fee

I made a reservation for 2 nights (Nov 6-8) and was only able to stay for one night because I had missed my connecting flight due to my previous flight arriving late. I understand I would not be able to get my full refund but could I request a cleaning fee refund for one night?

The cleaning fee is a one off not per night.

The place needs to be cleaned and prepared for the next guests even if you stayed one night only.  With a cancellation the cleaning fee would be refunded as there would be no cleaning to do.

It's not the hosts fault that your plans have changed. You haven't said that they wouldn't hold up to their part of the bargain had your plans not have changed. You should pay and not be so cheap.

@Simon133  The hosts are correct that the cleaning fee is not refundable because you stayed one night.  I wonder if you had travel insurance as that would be a source for payment of the night you were not able to stay due to the delayed flight.  Good luck!!
