Self block days on calendar with checkin / checkout times?

I'm having trouble blocking off partial days with Airbnb. 

When I block dates on my own for bookings I've received through other places, my potential Airbnb Guests see the full day blocked (even though they should be able to check in at 3pm on that blocked day).  How do I fix or work around this problem?  

I'm losing potential bookings because they are unbable to book the day a guests that I have self-blocked on the calander checks out.

@Matt11 There is no such thing as blocking partial days. If your "partial day block" would be in the morning to check the previous guest out and turn the room for a 3 checkin you can just leave it unblocked because your published check in is after the "partial day blocked" portion anywayc. Geez, I hope that made sense 🙂

Ok, great. Thanks @Vanessa-and-Kurt0! I thought that may be the case, but wasn't sure and didn't want to have a guest book during the last night stay of another guests. 

This is helpful, but do wish it was more clear.
