cleaning fee

I have a 5000 THB cleaning fee mandatory on every booking.

recently a client used instant booking to book a 6 day stay - however she made a mistake and entered only 1 guest

as the prive varies per guest, I amended the booking to be 8 guests. then she accepted the amendedments

now, when I go into the booking details, the cleaning fee is not charged

why did this happen and how can I rectify it?

Evidently, when you make a special offer, the cleaning fee is not added automatically. The best you can hope for is that the guest will accept another special offer that includes that fee.

haha, @Susan151 : so here we go, both of us saying the same thing at the same time. I sure hope that one host who complained about that will forgive us - great minds just  think alike! 🙂

when it asks you for the new subtotal, not only do you compute the new rate for 8 but you must also include the cleaning fee in that, Airbnb doesn't do it for you. I would explain the inncocent mistake to the guest and send another "change the reservation" request, which they have to okay and agree to, and you're all set. Good luck!
