Shikha ** I would like to have a 15 minute workshop at the Mumbai meet on the 16th to talk on how to make your hosting legal!

Currently, people are under the wrong impression that if they host on AIRBNB, they get legal status.

Aloha,  my name is Momi.  (Airbnb Superhost in Hawaii)

I would like to take this moment to say "Thank you " for allowing me to be a part of your amazing Host day in India by playing my video on being a Superhost on the Community Center.  I am so honored that I was even asked to make this video by my special friend @Jeet0 and he tells me that it was well received.  I was so relieved to hear that.  Its always nerve touching to be recorded and having so many people see you.  But at least I was having a good hair day. hahaha  

I can't wait to hear the details from @Jeet about his presentation....as I am sure, it was AWESOME.

Looking forward to hosting someone from the India Airbnb community.  Its truly a pleasure helping anyone who seeks advice on the CC too.  I hope others from India Host Day will seek to use it more.  It certainly helped me alot back in 2015 when I first became a host.

  @Lizzie  Aloha, I'm now considering adding a video to my Airbnb listing too since its a great feature on the profile section.  Do many hosts do that?  I know that my future guests seek me out on Instagram and watch my many videos prior to arrival at my home.   They love it! haha

I loved it, the Hosts at the event loved it and Airbnb folks from India loved it as well. I think you should totally make a profile video for yourself. You are so confortable in front of the camera, a total pro! So proud of you. Miss you friend. Thank you so so much.

@Lizzie - Hi Lizzie,  hope you've been fabulous too. I was wondering if there's any way to upload the video on Community Center with @Momi0's permission, ofcourse. I have shared it with @Shikha0 just in case if we can't but if you have the option to add videos.

This is absolutely amazing - I am so happy to hear this! 🙂 This just shows the power of having a global community and I am so proud that you two became such great friends via the Community Center.

Jeet, I too would love to hear more about your presentation and I am sure other community members here would too. Would you mind sharing a little more about what you covered and perhaps a little overview of the day? 🙂

Greetings. I am sridhar. jambunathan from Pondicherry.  I have some issues to resolve. kindly send me your advices.

Greetings. Thanks for your immediate action. Last week some of my apartment flat owner have complained to Sub Inspector of Police (Lawspet, Pondicherry) and he called me and made enquiy in this regards. I was explaining about Airbnb and available more than 300 listings in pondicherry and doing more than 190 countries. And I added to him that providing support services to the (utilization) insufficient resource. I have given example of Ola cabs, courier services, extra., he was advising me to ensure and to do the legal formalities and he gave time till end of this month. My enquiry is that being a host of Airbnb

 1) do I need to register with register of company? 

 2) do I need to obtained approval from Municipality?

 Is there any other formalities to do?

kindly help me. I have got bookings on 11th and 17th March 2017. during that time I should not be get legal obligation.

I have been fined around 3000 USD/ Rs.2,00,000by my tamil nadu local electricity and water board saying that i have posted my property in airbnb, and that it is a commercial activity. They have also converted my electricity and water bill into commercial billing which is three times more than the domestic billing. I reside in this property and i want a clarification on this to fight in the court regarding the commercial convertion of my property considering the only fact that i have listed my property in Airbnb. please help me.
