Customers asking for additional discounts

Have seen a trend in past couple of weeks where guests come in and start creating excuses/reasons to get additional discounts. I didn’t have this issue in the past but from a month or so have seen this happening ? Any thoughts how to tackle this ? My fear is then getting an incorrect bad review.

Most of the Hosts I work with do not offer further discounts to what they have already set on the listing (like a monthly discount). In my experience, granting addl discounts usually ends up with a bad guest and a negative experience and review. We generally send a polite response that we don't offer addl discounts as the property is priced fairly for the amenities, location and season and hope the guest is able to find another property that fits within their budget.

I agree with @Joan2709  just confirm to your guests that you don't offer additional discounts (presume you have some for longer stays) . And suggest that they look on Airbnb for accommodation that suits their budget @Saad199 .
