Has anyone started an AirBnB in Philly?

Hello,

Does anyone have experience with starting in AirBnB in Philly? I am looking through the permits needed and want to hear the experience of someone who's also done it.

• A Commercial Activity License and BIRT (Philly Tax Account)

• Use Registration Permit: Either for Visitor Accommodations or Limited Lodging

• Certificate of occupancy: If the property is not owner-occupied you will need to obtain a  CO.

Was it necessary to obtain all 3 of these permits and do you have any advice on how to go about it? I am looking at the renting the space for stays of 30 days or less but for more than 180 days per the calendar year. Thx!

I'm doing my own research now and it does look like you need all three. Did you go forward with renting your property? Can you confirm this was the process?
