Is a 'lease' recommended for 30+ day rentals?

Hi!

We are new hosts and going to rent 30 day minimum.

*We live in an area that draws seasonal workers in the winter and international travelers will often stay for 30+ days.

Do you recommend a lease be signed for every stay that is 30 or more days or is there a threshold #?

For instance, we have an inquiry for 37 days....would you suggest we get a lease signed?

What is the purpose of the lease, doesn't airbnb help with the host on being sure the tenants are moved out and that payment is received?

Appreciate the feedback!

@Tyler-And-Lisa0 Depending on the laws in your state a lease is the bare minimum you should get. Airbnb is entirely helpless if a guest doesn't pay or doesn't leave. I would never use Airbnb for a longer term stay because there is no security deposit and no references either.

Long over due THANK YOU for responding 🙂   we are still researching what to do as we are desiring 30-60 days tenants as we are in a 'destination' vacation type area.
