New host here: What do I do about a mid-stay bedding change etc?

Hi All

I am relatively  new to airbnb and all my previous guests have only stayed a few days so no need for towel and bedding changes.

I now have a booking request for a 10 day stay, so I'm assuming they will need new towels / bedding after 5 or 6 days. I don't have a cleaner and I'm wondering how other people manage this kind of thing? Is there a service I can hire to do a mid-stay bedding/ towel change, and should I get them to vacuum / tidy etc as with a housekeeping service at a hotel? Do i just hire a cleaner as a one-off?

I would really appreciate some ideas as to what is expected. I'm in London, England. thank you in advance.

Hi @Catherine468

for long staying guests we leave sets of bed linens and towels even tho we have washer in our unit. I just communicate with the guest that they can use the new sets incase they want to change. We also leave cleaning supplies incase they want to tidy up during their stay. My house rules states that we don’t provide in between cleaning during their stay to give them privacy.

@Catherine468 for longer stays we just offer to change the bedding and towels every week or so. Alternatively we say the guest can change them if they wish. Most take us up on the offer and we agree whether to do it when they are there or when they are out (by message on Airbnb so we have proof of their agreement to enter the apartment).

Primarily this protects the bedding and also lets us check the state of the apartment.
