Hello guys, Its been several times that I failed to remove such an unfair review against airbnb own policy:- A guest had to l...
Hi, new to hosting and trying to pull up my listing. Nothing yet, ant pointers?
If you are new to hosting, then one of the good practices is to look up if your answer to a issue is already in the Help files or in this community, by entering the right keywords.
It takes 24 hours before a listing is active (and in the search system)
Wait until thos URL produces a result for your listing
(Title: Francois, NL Quaint 2-Bedroom one bath home)

I had the same problem after the 24hrs. In fact, I still have the problem when it comes to a search with no dates.
I used the help feature to contact ABB directly. They have been excellent in responding although it took a couple of times to fix. Be sure to fill the survey out after that they send you. It's important the good ones are given their due credit just like us.
Best wishes!
Another thing, if you haven't already (because I didn't understand at first), be sure to create your custom link under listing details.
There are a couple of other things I noticed but did not follow through to see if they were associated.
1. When asking for gov't ID, there is a caveat in the details that unless you provide your own first, it holds up the instant booking. I took that to mean it could hold up a lot I didn't want to bother with starting out so I removed that requirement.
2. Be sure that you have covered all your ID requirements for ABB which happens automatically when you get your payment information verified.
3. That diversity tracking box: I have no problem with that and so I checked it. Then as I was testing out the system I unchecked it to see if it made any difference. I couldn't find my listings. Checked it and there they were.
Now that could've been a glitch but thought I'd mention it. And I have to admit I wonder if whatever 'magical algorithm' it uses effects some of these hosts I read who are banned for no reason they know of, especially after reaching Super Host status. I have no idea.
Hello!
I'm Tamara and new to hosting (clearly lol). Recently I bought my now home in a neighborhood I've been looking at for years. The first couple of sales fell through and I am so grateful.
I've spent the first 4 months doing nothing but focusing on turning the ABB part into something I can be proud to share. Everything is an effort in excellent customer service and quality surroundings. I am very fortunate to have a very picky sister who travels a lot. Passing her inspection tells me I am good to go for even the unreasonable within reason. And having been a landlord for many years, I hope will keep me balanced on expectations.
So, this is my place. It's a work in progress. I've been here about a month and have a few bookings. I'm not worried. For me the biggest thing is establishing a strong foundation. That means I am contemplating what boilerplate emails to create to send folks when they inquire so I can get their information without sounding like I'm zeroing in on them. If I make a request for all bookings, it's completely objective.

I am so open to suggestions. At this point I'm thinking names and ages of all guests, purpose of travel, and any allergies, hobbies, and favorite games. That way I can hopefully add a personal touch to their arrival.
Thoughts?
@Kenneth378 Your listing is showing as unavailable until July. Are you aware of that? That could be a reason for your lack of bookings. Sometimes people are not booking out that far.
Do a search for other listings in your area. How do you compare? That is always helpful.
New listings usually get a boost in the search. I stopped listing my homeshare during Covid and just re-listed last week. When I do incognito searches, my listing is always in the top 5.
I would also suggest putting a little more in your listing description. Tell guests what they can expect. Look through other listings in your area for ideas.
Good luck and happy hosting!
