Seeking advice and mentorship for starting my airbnb journey

Hello Airbnb Community,

I’m looking to start hosting on Airbnb and could really use some advice to help me get started. I have some ideas in mind, but I’m not sure about the best steps to take, from setting up the listing to managing the day-to-day.

If anyone has experience or tips to share, I would really appreciate it! Additionally, I’m open to finding a mentor who can guide me through the process and help ensure I’m on the right track.

Thank you in advance for your support!

Best regards,
Amina

Hello @Amina298

have a look at the community guides on this community there are useful guides to help you set up a listing.

If you want a mentor you can find a local cohost who you can pay to help you set up your listing and mentor you via the Airbnb Cohost database  .

you can also familiarise yourself with the Airbnb Help website .

Here is a Guide for New Hosts you can take a look at:

In addition to finding an Experienced Co Host as @Helen3 mentions to assist, there are also short term rental consultants you can employ for the first few months to help you get started.

Yes cohosts or consultants can help with one off listing set up as well as ongoing management as @Joan2709  says.

My first guest was upset that his bathroom was in the hall, not a private en suite (my listing is for 1 bedroom in my home).  I live here also, so I only use my bathroom in my bedroom.  I made sure to update my listing to state the 2nd bathroom is in the hall and is for the guest's exclusive use.   Also, I updated to be clear I had a cat and a dog, and then updated again when I no longer had them.  Allergies are no fun and your guests need to know if there are any pets.  I hope this helps.  Good Luck!
