Starting out as a host

So I am interested in becoming a host, I am located in NC. I’ve read up some online and I just now found this chat on this website. I was kinda wanting some steps in order on how to get started and tips/advice and all of that. I’ve been working with vacation rentals for over 2 years, but I’m wanting to transfer over as a host.
