The rise of Artificial Intelligence - and how it is infecting Airbnb Support

Direct quote from a Support message today from Airbnb's Harish:

"It was a matter of honor to interact with you & therefore, graciously offering my humble gratitude for your great understanding & grateful to you for your kind cooperation, which is evident that, you are a Gem of a person with a golden heart, who had consistently demonstrated outstanding hospitality with utmost care. I am sanguine for your perpetual patronage with your immaculate & impeccable contribution for expanding the Airbnb universe, which I will cherish as a Golden Memory"

What Utter Nonsense......

On one level it's laughable - But doesn't it absolutely undermine the intelligence and capabilities that many Airbnb staff actually have?

Meanwhile, we are paying 15% + VAT of every booking for this.....

@Richard943 I tend to agree although most of the 14.2%+VAT actually goes on advertising and platform costs. It is a cheap route to market for most.

Sure, of course. And Ive been loyal to airbnb for years; perhaps too long...

But there's a manager, presumably well paid, who has approved a system that is capable of adding utter tosh to a support message sent to their employers clients. That needs to stop.

For now we can laugh at it; but eventually when the Supplier no longer Supplies basic competence, clients take their business else where.

Haha well that could mean anything @Trude0 @Richard943

We know people who live in farming communities and tend to animals where AI is Artificial Insemination.

We laugh when we read some of the information out there - maybe next time you are reading about AI change it to the country version...

Have you noticed there's a now a prod towards IA?

It's Intelligence Age.

@Richard943

Have you put those lines into a search engine to see if it's a plagiarized paragraph?

They may owe Royalties to the original Author/s.

Advertising for ABB / BPO ( Business Process Outsourcing) Agents make references to coming up with creative writing to use as part of their outsourcing requirements.

We wonder who signed the paragraph/ speil off?
