A question about a cash claim.

Hello! I want to share a case with you. A guest staying home two days asked to stay for a few more days, but to pay cash. His phone did not work and could not make a reservation. The man has traveled half the world, and the pretext with the broken phone was ridiculous. Still there are phone shops. I gave up a cash payment, of course. Has it happened to you?

@Dida0 - you did the right thing.  Some people are scam artists and think everything is a negotiation regardless of the policy.  Do not do every take a cash payment for nights, not ever.

@Alice-and-Jeff0 , thank you!

I've had a few guests offering cash to extend their stay (and expect a cheaper rate than the listed one too!). In all cases, I've told them it is for both our protection that they do this via the app. In most cases, they did so.

Given that AirBNB won't cover you if the guest pays by cash, it simply isn't worth the risk.
