A whole other family is staying at our house that were not approved

HI

We had a family of 2 adults and 4 children reserve out place for 5 night.  Our neighbors have told us that a whole extra family has been staying with them as well.  What should I do???

@Megc0 Hi, this is the same fear I am having with my listing, what if someone books for just 2 persons and in total 7 guests comes to stay? So, for this I have kept a base price for 4 guests and any person after 4 then it will be extra fee per person after 4. As I can see in your listing it is not there for all 9 guests you have kept the same price. Also, when I get a booking first question I ask to the guest is "How many total guests are coming along with you?" Now, since you are having a whole extra family come and stay at your listing, what you can do is you can directly contact the guest who has done the booking and ask them not to accommodate extra people. Or call the Airbnb customer service see if they can help you out with this.

Do you live close to where they are staying?

If so pop over or msg them & have a word with them, and ask if everything is fine.

It gives you an opportunity to ask them to amend there numbers of people paying & payment owed.

Make sure you also put it in writing through the there Booking msgs to protect yourself from any issues that may arise.

Take your ph camera with you to gather evidence.

Ditto when they check put if you are the one doing the cleaning - it's always a tell tale sign of just how many people have stayed.

All the very best
