This is intended as a suggestion for Airbnb. Please thumbs up if you think it is a good idea or at least the start of a good idea.
I realize that Airbnb is really working hard to build a tight brand around the Plus program, but hosts are feeling they are giving up too much control. For years Airbnb told hosts that guests love pictures, so to have a bunch of good quality photos to sell their space. The Plus program runs counter to that. In addition, many hosts feel they are giving up too much control by making the switch to Plus. How about this fix/compromise?
A “Photo Box” that would essentially be pictures uploaded by hosts that could be accessed using an icon/link under the host quote on the Plus listing page. This box could contain host pics that they feel best sell their space, but all in the context of it being their snapshots not Airbnb’s stylistically specific photography. It would lend even more authenticity to the proposed experience and make hosts feel they have more choices.
