Airbnb (Visitor Accomm) registrations in Tasmania

Tasmania - Anyone else concerned about the Dec 4, 2019 cut off date for Airbnb registrations? 
Councils are backlogged with issuing permit numbers, which can take 28 days to be allocated, & in excess of 40 days should your Airbnb require more assessment. 
Have extensions been granted in other States / Countries, & any idea what happens to the Airbnb bookings if an account doesn’t have a permit number post Dec 4, 2019?
