Airbnb emails do not appear in Inbox threads

Recently I've been getting email messages from guests that do not appear in the app or in my computer inbox. It seems to be intermittent, i.e., with the threads from some guests acting normally while the messages do not appear in other email threads.  The airbnb notification settings on the app & computer are in order. Anyone have any idea what's going on?
