Airbnb have filmed a commercial at my farmstead Kolsstaðir as well as used my photos as centerfold in their magazine. Recently they listed Kolsstaðir as top 10 location for Northern lights in the world.
But the other day I noticed on the airbnb web page, Kolsstaðir was used as a region with the headline: "Places to stay in Kolsstaðir" and then other listings underneath (See screenshot) There can not be other farms/or listings in Kolsstaðir as it is a farm and not a region so I contacted support and asked them to change this as well as "Reviews from guests that have stayed at Kolsstaðir" - that had actually stayed in north Iceland 200 km away near to Akureyri. Even though I have begged them to change this the support person insists that I talk to google about this even though I have explained that google Maps is very accurate about Kolsstaðir location (See my screenshot) from Google maps. When you search Google Maps for Kolsstaðir, they pinpoint the farm location with exceptional accuracy - with the name, detailed descriptions and even photos. Even though I have done everything I can to explain this and asked for someone with knowledge about this the support person just keeps on insisting that I talk to Google. There is nothing I can discuss with Google - They are very accurate about Kolsstaðir. Airbnb shouldn't be publishing those wrong information and then pointing and at Google instead of fixing it. What can I do I - have written at least 10 messages regarding this - even thought about removing my listing. (Can't post the screenshot).
