Travelers, don't forget to take photos of your airbnb!! Take video too!

My fellow travelers and I had a horrible airbnb experience. I've always had pretty good experiences with Airbnbs before so wasn't familiar with all the help center stuff. We didn't know you could cancel on arrival if the airbnb wasn't clean and because it was a strict cancellation policy assumed we would lose our $1000 if we just left. We ended up booking 2 nights in a hotel anyway because the mildew smell and dirty bathrooms were just too much. After leaving a review, I requested a refund through the resolution center. The host retaliated by sending me a request for an extra $1500 with fake photos claiming we stained sheets and mattresses.

Luckily I had photos and videos to document the place and they clearly show different colored and patterned sheets.

Waiting now for Airbnb to resolve this.
