Applying a discount??

Hi everybody. New host here!  I just received a request for a discount. They would like to stay for 6 days. I have a discount on weekly rates of 15% so I offered that to them. Problem is... how do I apply that to reflect the discount in their price?????  Thank you!

@Lisa549  You can send a Special Offer.  Go to the Help Center for the steps you take to do that.  If they have already booked, go to the reservation list, find the guest and select change or cancel.  Follow the steps.  Remember to include any fees in addition to your nightly rate.

To the left of your message stream with this person, you will see a little tab that says "make a special offer".  If you click that link, you will be prompted to make an offer to the guest.  The prompt asks you to calculate the whole amount for the time period (including cleaning fees, extra guests, etc) that you would like to offer. 

So if your regular amount is 100/night, plus a cleaning fee of 15 (I am making these numbers up as I have not checked your listing), the amount you will offer is :  (6)(85) +15=525.  Airbnb will still take out their small fee.

Then, when the person accepts your special offer, the booking is completed.

@Hilary-And-Ed0  Great detailed advise!  Hope @Lisa549 will also look into the Help Center for some of their questions.  I know I had to be re-directed there as well and it helped me.
