What are the polices regarding cancellation once guests are living in the host's residence? What are the host's and guest's respective rights?
Search and you shall find:

If people are vioting air terms or your house rules or you're being treated badly or wrongly by a host, you call Airbnb and they'll usually help accordingly.
What's the situation?
Long term tenants have rights over an above any AirBnB policy, usually. Best to consult with a local attorney.
Are you sure @David126 I think she might need to get a hold of the president, like immediately!!
Okay, @Pam111 could you try and decribe your situation as these rights really depend on the given situation.
Is is reagarding an early check out caused by extenuating circumstances? Are there damages involved? A conflict between guest and host? Is the problem fixable? Are you unsafe? Are terms violated?
Before involving a lawyer you're right to ask the community here. Many other hosts or guests have experienced many things and are very qualified and willing to help and give tips and share experiences or if its something Airbnb needs involvement in, we can help you get in touch with them as well.
No conflict at this point! The host is lovely and it's been a terrific experience three months in, with great cooperation/collaboration on little things that have come up. Depends where you are NY is strong on Tenants rights.
I'm glad that all is well so spare the monies on the lawyers for now 🙂
In NYC month-to-month leases have 30 days notice on leases they want to terminate.
If you're terminated I'd seek infomation here https://ag.ny.gov/resource-center-0
