Contacting fellow guests

I was wondering if there is a way to contact other guests who have left reviews. I would like to ask them personal opinions about places I'm interested in renting. I figured I would get more honest answers from someone who has stayed there already.

I don't think you can. Even if you could ie if they are hosts. Don't you think that's rather intrusive.

You should be able to find the information you need in a listing and through reviews. Anything else just ask the host.

Personally I only book with superhosts.

I had 2 potential guests ask me about talking to previous guests who stayed with me when I had no reviews. At the time, I asked my 1 former guest and 1 current guest if they would be willing to answer a few questions about staying with me and Henry and about our home. Both guests were happy to help out and from what I understand they exchanged a few emails and the two potential guests ended up booking with me immediately after the exchange.

I tend to get long-term guests staying for entire semesters so I didn't really mind that they wanted to hear directly from another exchange student before making a decision. Although I provide a lot of "facts" about my guest room and home, having the facts and how they actually apply to a foreigner coming to Seoul for the 1st time to live for 4 months can be different. I have sisters that went abroad to study and it was really hard for them to decide where to live without knowing the neighborhood and not seeing the place in advance. (and having to make a downpayment to secure a room in this situation can really make you loose sleep at night!)
