Hi there - I have a number of bookings for my second property after 1st July 2019. What is your opinion - I don't want to cancel them as it's unlikely that guests will be able to get alternative, suitable accomodation at such short notice (it would be terribly disruptive and unfair especially for foreign travellers).
What advise can you give? What is Airbnb advising hosts to do? Many thanks for your response, opinions and thoughts.
If restrictions are being brought in by the Corporation and I knew I was being affected - in your situation the first thing I would so would be to call Airbnb @Rosemount1
What are the new regulations saying @Rosemount1
Second homes cannot be let on a short-term basis in Dublin (using platforms such as Airbnb). Seems like the early warnings were not taken seriously enough by UK-based corporate affairs/stakeholder capability - local representation only recently deployed - but unfortuneately, too late (the decision was already made and publicly announced).

I have a planning application in progress but I reckon it’s going to cost 2.5 k and Wicklow co council will refuse it. I don’t want to be sacrificial lamb as first person to apply for change of usage
