I have booked a room nearly a month ago with instant booking, which was confirmed. As a preventive action I called this individual 72 hours before to double check he told me that the room was not available. The measure Airbnb did was to offer me a refund and a 27 euro credit, which is absurd considering that booking a flat with shorter notice is significantely more expensive.
Given that this situation is not my fault, I want to be compensated, at least partially. Unfortunately Airbnb has not provided any signs of good will and if they refuse to do so I will go the authorities.
