Hi how do i make sure a security deposit is charged to the guest?

I have a guest who would like to book with me but the last booking I took Airbnb did not charge the security deposit.  I have checked my web page and it clearly states a deposit is charged and I have looked under my price settings & security settings.  Pls help.

AirBnB do not charge a SD, it is a potential hold against a claim they agree to. Really ought to rename it.

Hi Janet

If you have the £350 security deposit on the "pricing settings" under extra charges, nothing else is required.

You should remove "Security deposit : £350 refundable within 2 weeks of departure"  from your listing page.

As ABB don't actually take the money from the guest, (just keep hold of card details) it cannot be refunded and you could cause confusion to your guests.
