For my personal bookings, pay less upfront is great, and I like it.
However, for my business bookings, the 2nd payment requires me to go to my company expenses app and step through the clunky process again of attaching the invoice, and filling out the details again. The company and I don't really care that less is paid upfront, we care about the total payment and minimising paperwork and hassle, so "Pay Less Upfront" is worse.
So... how do I turn it off?
During the trial period there was an option to "Pay Less Upfront" at the time you make the booking, but now there is no option, so what do I do?
And preferably, how do I turn it back on for when I make a personal booking?
I cannot give you the answer to this.
But thanks for making us aware: Payment upfront being no longer just an option!
And the guest is no longer given the choice to pay the full amount at once!
Of course, this situation could be regional or only under given circumstances.
Unfortunately, Airbnb does not seem to communicate this (At least, I was not aware of this).
