I live in a building in a very quiet neighborhood. For 7 years we've lived in peace; many of us work from home and have kids that need to go to bed by 9pm and get a good night's sleep for school. About 8 weeks ago, the vila next door was converted into an Airbnb and it's been a nightmare for us ever since. The host tries to do everything he can to control the guests but the people are just loud, obnoxious drunks. He has posted clear rules and installed a noise monitor, but it makes little difference. The people are renting this house because it's ideal for a party and they get drunk and no longer care about the rules. What options do we have? We call the police and file complaints with Airbnb, but nothing changes as even if the host gets the guests to calm down, it starts all over with every single new guest. How are we supposed to live like this? What other options can be done? We've called the police but there is little they can do as it's new guests every few days.
