How to remove host

Own property that host has not properly manage. So need to remove host for future stays and re-assign to replacement host but cannot see how to do this. Is there way to do this when current host create this listing?

No, you can't change the listing admin. You will need to create a new listing and make yourself the listing admin. Reviews and ratings for the old one will remain with the old host.
