I can't sync secondary listings

I have a primary 3BR/3BA listing (the entire house)  where I also book individual rooms when the entire house is not booked.  I was able to sync with the primary listing  with the secondary ones fine.  However, when I created a new 2BR/2BA listing in the same house, I was not able to sync it with the individual rooms to prevent double bookings. I called AirBnB and the guy I talked to did not know why it could not be done but theorized  that you can only sync "primary" listings with other listings, not secondary listings with secondary listings.  Has anyone ever had this problem? If so, did you solve it?
