MINIMUM STAY NIGHTS FOR LATE BOOKINGS ONLY, HOW TO REDUCE THE NIGHTS BELOW USUAL DEFAULT MINIMUM

Here's my misunderstanding - just wanted to set late availability reduced down to 4 night stay for next week only.

However we ended up not being able to do this, other than by adjusting the default setting for any other enquirer/instant booking to 4 nights also.

Sure enough, somebody came along to book July for 4 nights.

All our other weeks are minimum 6-7 night stays.

How do you set a late availability offer with stay nights lower than your usual default settings please.

You can setup specific rules for certain periods or even specific dates  (including the mininum stay). These options are in same section as the settings of the (general) mininum stay.

Hi Emiel, well I had tried testing this externally, as though I was a traveller making an investigation....

What we discovered was that if the general setting for minimum stays is set at 6 nights.

Then an enquiry made for a 4 night stay within our available date range next week failed to bring our property up as an option.

I other words, the default minimum of 6 nights, over ruled the ability for a traveller to find us as being available for a 4 night option next week only.

This is why we sought to then adjust the general setting from a 6 night minimum to a 4 night minimum just for the currrent time period to make it possible for enquirers to find the 4 night option for next week.

It seems to be a over sight in the design of the availability settings.

It would be very helpful to have an option that says ' minimum night setting 6 nights except during'

specific date ranges.

The way the site is set up, if the minimum night setting is 6 nights, this over-rides any desire to set a shorter stay range for a sub-set of dates.
